The Colorpoint is an active cat, very vocal, loves human attention and is medium in size. It is important to either have cats of similar activity levels or to not leave them alone for long periods of time to minimize the risk of damage to personal property.,

Crazy Canines would like to give back to our community, specifically the Lowell Humane Society. So, what is Cans for a Cause? Soda cans and bottles or any can or bottle that can be returned for loot. Crazy Canines will take those empty cans and bottles to a local redemption center and in turn donate 100% of the proceeds to the Lowell Humane Society. We would provide you with reusable tote bags to toss the cans and bottles in; we would then pick up the full bags, hit the redemption center and bring the cash to the shelter. We can pick up the bags weekly, when we are there, or whenever they are full. All we ask is that you rinse the cans out for us. Why just throw them away? So who’s in? Please let us (Sarah or Tony) know if you’re interested so that we can order the appropriate amount of bags. Thanks for all your help.

Crazy Canines

Big powerful energetic dogs. Adapted to icy conditions, these pups pull sleds, carried packs and herded caribou. Amazingly, they also use to hunt polar bears. Over the years, these big energetic double coated balls of fur  have joined Artic and Antartic expeditions, collected racing records and have become beloved pets. These dogs are on the bigger size so space is required. Malamutes are middle of the road when it comes to dispostion, need a boat load of exercise and can be a little had to motivate when it comes to training.

The American foxhound is the Virginia state dog.

According to the 2007-2008 National Pet Owners Survey, 63%       of U.S. households own a pet, which equates to 71.1 millions homes.

A smart and playful breed often bringing entertainment to any space they occupy. Their activity matches their vocalization level which are both very high. The Burmese loves to be around people and are okay with other animal.

Snow Sucks!!!!!

A sturdy, well develpoed and muscular breed. These are protective dogs. Very protective. Socialization at an early age is a must. A must people! The Alapaha is very smart, energetic, and athletic dog that demand lots of exercise and training.

So this is the part of the job were I like to say “so you want to be a dog walker”. I have to carry one of my clients out to go to the bathroom. Older, very sweet good dude. Just a little wobbly. Carried him out. All went well. I caught a wiff of poop. Looked all around and check my shoes. Though maybe i had stepped in it. Couldnt find anything. Went about the visit. Finished everything. Got to my car and there was that poop smell again. Checked every where. Arms, legs, shoes, etc. Nothing. And then, there it was. He shit in my vest pocket. Awesome.

Sleek looking cat. The Bombay is an indooor cat. This cat only gets along with certain types of feline, but gets along well with dogs. Weird. With a lower activity level and smaller in size, this breed loves humans and is middle of the road in conversation.

Oh- my- god

An acient breed that represents health and happiness. These brave and loyal dogs hunted bears and boars. Intellegent and protective, this breed has also gotten a bum rap. Akitas with proper socialization, training and exercise are wonderful pups.

56% of dog owners and 42%  of cat owners bought holiday gifts for their pets last year. I wonder how many pets got gifts before friends or family?

Not sure what to say

The Birman is a very intellegent and affectionate breed. Average in size, activity level and vocalization, these cats will often treat strangers with curiosity rather than fear.

Can you tell which is the towel?

Pets satisfy the need for touch and to be touched, and give nonjudgmental  warmth and affection.

From Western Turkey, these big dogs guard live stock from wolves and bears (hell of a job huh?). Akbash are independant and have to be socialized at a young age and need a family that can match their energy and activity level.

What the hell man?

Pets encourage playfulness, exercise, and laughter. What nerve.

The American Shorthair is the “happy medium” of cat breed. It usually falls in the middle of the road when compared to the other breeds.

Now thats a mouthful

Pets promote social interaction, decrease the feeling of loneliness and isolation,  and increase morale and optimism.

These dogs make amiable and loyal pets. Also known as the King of Terriers. The Airedale Terrier while very courageous with power eyes and ears, cant swim very well and lack a good sense of smell. This medium sized dog needs lots of socialization, training and plenty of exercise to keep it happy.
